In a fit of musical excitement, all my current inspiration leads me to put this thing here.

On June 10th (June 11th in the US), Boards of Canada are finally releasing their next studio album almost eight years after their last one. Much has come and gone in eight years; marriages, relationships, friendships, popes, governments, public faith in 1970s and 1980s light entertainment tv and radio celebs..

As I’ve lived and breathed the tunes from this pair of Pentland Hills-dwelling brothers for a over a decade now, I’m somewhat EXCITED about this long hoped-for turn of events. Yeah, probably more than excited. Until the release I’ll be staring at this little countdown thing.

I’ve blatted the old entries to an archive and cleaned up my WordPress db. This first entry was going to be a huge missive on the latest japes by Boards of Canada, but as of this sunny San Francisco afternoon in late April that particular drama is still unfolding.

It ain’t over ’til the Hexagon Sun sings, so instead, listen to this a couple of times and call me in the morning.
